Empowering Pathways:
Problem Gambling and Gaming Prevention, Treatment and Recovery.
MAY 19-21, 2025 | NOVOTEL MANILA | PHILIPPINES
DEADLINE EXTENDED.
New Deadline for Call of Papers: JANUARY 31, 2025
Seagulls Flock Organization, Inc., in partnership with the Quezon City Local Government Unit and the International Problem Gambling and Gaming Certification Board, invites proposals for the 2nd International Conference on Gambling and Gaming Addiction on May 19 -21,2025 at the Novotel Manila, Philippines.
The inaugural conference held last May 2024 was a resounding success. We were able to convene world-renowned clinicians and gambling and gaming experts from different countries to discuss a topic that had received very little research attention in the Philippines.
Today, this conference is recognized as the largest gathering of subject matter experts from around the Asia-Pacific Region, with more than 250 multi-disciplinary attendees from 15+ countries.
Now in its 2nd year, this conference convenes academics, researchers, and other experts from all fields, representing a diverse array of disciplines and points of view, to present their latest and most important work in the gambling and gaming space. We invite you to join us in this opportunity to share your research, analyses, and theory on emerging themes related to empowering individuals and communities impacted by gambling and gaming harms, including (but not limited to) the following topics:
Effective gambling and gaming prevention approaches for children, adolescents, and/or adults and families
Effective gambling and gaming treatment approaches for individuals and families
Industry/Gambling operators’ best practices on responsible gambling and gaming practices
Public policy or other advocacy considerations for legalization and expansion to promote the reduction of harm
Prevalence and possible predictors of gambling disorder
How gambling affects the brain and who is most vulnerable to addiction
The convergence of gambling in gaming
Gambling addiction and substance use disorder
We encourage proposals that incorporate innovative and creative approaches to addressing problem gambling and gaming and promoting responsible practices. Proposals should be informative, engaging, and relevant to the conference theme: “Empowering Pathways: Problem Gambling and Gaming Prevention, Treatment and Recovery.”
Proposals should adhere to one of the following format options:
PAPER PRESENTATIONS - approx. 20 minutes in length including time for Q&A
